Try your hand at Sea Kayaking or Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) at one of our clinics! We offer Basic and Advanced Paddle Canada SUP Clinics, and Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Clinics from Liverpool, Nova Scotia. All of our clinics include the use of our equipment (kayak/SUP, PFD, paddle, safety equipment, etc.).
Sea Kayak Courses:
In this course you’ll learn how to kayak in calm, sheltered water. You’ll also learn how to safely enter and exit your kayak, paddling skills, strokes, assisted rescue techniques, how to lift and carry your kayak, boating safety, and more!

Level 1 Skills
Learn the skills and knowledge necessary to confidently paddle on day long sea kayak trips in sheltered waters.
This course covers paddling strokes and techniques, assisted and self re-entries, as well as an introduction to trip planning, navigation, risk assessment/mitigation, weather, tides, sea state, and equipment.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 1 Skills certification.

Relaxed Sup Clinics:
You’ll learn the basics – getting on and off the board, paddling, etc. We’ll go for a paddle together and have some fun. We’ll supply the boards, paddles, PFDs, and leashes. These relaxed clinics aren’t for certification – they’re to get you out on the water in a safe, fun manner! These clinics last for approximately 1.5-2 hours.

Paddle Canada Sanctioned SUP Courses:
In these clinics you’ll learn basic and advanced SUP skills – these are Paddle Canada sanctioned courses and are eligible for certification.
Basic (Introduction to SUP Skills):
In this course you’ll learn how to paddle a paddleboard in calm, sheltered water. You’ll also learn how to safely fall off your board, remounting your board, paddling in different weather conditions, strokes, boating safety, and more!
This course lasts 2-3 hours, and is being offered on July 29th from 9:00am-noon.
In this course you’ll build on the skills and knowledge gained in the SUP Basic course. You’ll learn how to paddle in more challenging conditions, more strokes, towing, equipment knowledge, and more!
This course lasts 2-3 hours, and is being offered on July 29th from 1:00-4:00pm.
Make a day of it and take both courses on July 29th!
*Clinics require a minimum of 4 participants to operate. Advanced registration is required.

Payment of the total cost of the clinic is required to book your spot.
For cancellations occuring up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the clinic date, you will receive a full refund, less an administration fee equal to 10% of the total course cost.
For cancellations occurring within 2 weeks (14 days) of the clinic date, no refund will be issued, unless we are able to re-book your spot. If we are able to fill your spot, you will receive a full refund, less an administration fee equal to 10% of the total course cost.
We reserve the right to cancel due to extreme weather or insufficient registrations. In these cases, a full refund will be issued.
