Kayak Tours

Do I need kayaking experience to join a tour?

No. Our guided kayak tours are beginner-friendly and include a safety briefing and paddling instruction before you head onto the water. Our experienced guides will help you feel comfortable and confident.

What should I bring on a kayak tour?

We recommend quick-drying clothing, water shoes, sunscreen or sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, a reusable water bottle, and a light rain jacket if the forecast calls for showers. We provide the kayak, paddle, pfd, and safety equipment.

What will I see on a kayak tour?

Our tours explore the beautiful Mersey River, Liverpool Harbour, and surrounding coastline. Depending on the tour and the season, you may see seals, bald eagles, osprey, herons, coastal islands, historic landmarks, and stunning South Shore scenery.

Rentals

Is safety equipment included with rentals?

Yes. Every kayak, canoe, and SUP rental includes a properly fitted pfd, paddle, and required safety equipment. Bicycle rentals include a helmet.

Can I reserve rentals in advance?

Absolutely. We recommend reserving your equipment ahead of time, especially during weekends and the summer season, to ensure availability.

How do I use an E-Bike?

Our staff will take you through operating your e-bike rental but we have created a Quick Start E-Bike Guide which you can access at any time.

Nova Scotia Adventure Tours

Are your adventure tours suitable for beginners?

Yes. Most activities are designed for active beginners with a reasonable level of fitness. No specialized outdoor experience is required unless noted.

What makes your Nova Scotia Adventure Tours unique?

Zodiac Tour

What is a Zodiac Tour?

A Zodiac Tour is a guided adventure aboard a soft inflatable boat that allows you to explore Nova Scotia's rugged coastline, secluded islands, beaches, and marine wildlife quickly and comfortably.

Will I see wildlife on a Zodiac Tour?

While wildlife sightings can't be guaranteed, guests often see seals, seabirds, bald eagles, porpoises, and other marine life depending on the season and conditions.

Skate Sharpening

Do you sharpen all types of skates?

Yes. We sharpen hockey skates, figure skates, recreational skates, and goalie skates using professional sharpening equipment.

How often should I sharpen my skates?

Most recreational skaters sharpen their skates every 15–20 hours of ice time, while competitive players may sharpen them more frequently depending on their preference.

How long does skate sharpening take?

While most skate sharpenings are completed quickly. We recommend dropping your skates off and returning when it's convenient to pick up.
During busy periods, turnaround times may vary, so it's always a good idea to call ahead if you need them by a specific time.

Central America Adventure Tour

What destinations do you offer?

We offer guided small-group adventure tours to incredible destinations such as Belize and Costa Rica, featuring nature, wildlife, cultural experiences, and outdoor adventures.

Are your Central America tours fully guided?

Yes. Our experienced tour leaders accompany the group throughout the trip and work with trusted local guides to provide a safe, enjoyable, and authentic experience.

What activities are included?

Activities vary by destination but may include snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, cave tubing, wildlife viewing, ziplining, exploring ancient Mayan ruins, boat tours, and visits to local communities.

Bike Repair

What types of bicycles do you repair?

Our professional mechanics service most makes and models of bicycles, including mountain bikes, road bikes, hybrid bikes, children's bikes, and E-Bikes.

Do I need to make an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. Simply bring your bike to our shop during regular business hours, and we'll check it in for service.
Our certified bike mechanic is on site several times a week, typically during evenings and weekends, and repairs are completed as soon as possible based on the service queue.
If your repair is time-sensitive—such as for an upcoming ride, race, or vacation—please let us know when you drop off your bike. We'll do our best to accommodate your timeline.

What bike repair services do you offer?

We provide tune-ups, brake adjustments, gear indexing, flat tire repairs, wheel truing, drivetrain servicing, suspension checks, accessory installation, and complete bicycle overhauls.
