Mindful nature walk - an opportunity to slow down and appreciate nature around us, this walk will be taken at a slow pace with chances to explore our connection to nature.
Forest bathing - join us as we relax into nature and enjoy our beautiful surroundings. You will be invited to explore nature in a variety of ways through the session. We will focus on slowing down and experiencing the world around us.
SUP the peaceful Mersey River, enjoying nothing but the sounds of nature. Try your hand at SUP Yoga - a mix of relaxation and fun! Enjoy a relaxing riverside yoga session surrounded by peace and tranquility.
A local beer/cocktail tasting with offerings from Hell Bay Brewing Company in Liverpool.
Spend some time working on self-care - delicious food and drink, a self-serve facial bar, stargazing, chatting by the fire, swimming in the picturesque Mersey River, enjoying the peaceful waterfall on the property, or lounging in the hot tub!
Research has shown that interacting with nature reduces hormones associated with anxiety and increases those associated with wellness. Taking the time to slow down can help us enjoy nature in a way we don’t normally experience.
Double rooms with private bathrooms (a mix of rooms with one king bed, one queen bed, or two single beds)
Shared common spaces, and an extensive outdoor area.

Hilary Huskilson
Hilary works as an elementary school teacher, and teaches yoga in her spare time. She completed the 200 hour training program with Breathing Space Yoga. Hilary also has Yoga in Schools and Yoga for Autism training. Hilary has completed SUP courses, and enjoys mixing the relaxation of Yoga with the fun of paddleboarding. Hilary is a Mom to two children, and spends her summers on the water at her cottage in Welshtown. |
Caitlin Parlee Nickerson
Caitlin is a certified Paddle Canada Instructor in Standup Paddleboarding and assists with kayak and canoeing tours. She also has her Standard First Aid and CPR, her National Lifeguard certification and her Level 1 Swim Coach. When she's not on the water, you can find Caitlin at the shop or spending time with her two children. She also hosts international students who attend high school in Liverpool, and volunteers with the local minor hockey league and the local elementary school. |
Steph Walsh
Steph grew up in rural England, spending happy days walking the countryside in the rain, usually with a dog. She has traveled to Europe, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Alaska, Ecuador and the Galapagos, where she has sailed, kayaked, canoed, hiked, volunteered and worked with wildlife. Steph has worked with the environment and wildlife for over 20 years and enjoys the peace of paddling and opportunities to see wildlife from water level. Steph has spent time in scouts and guides, becoming a club scout leader in both the UK and Canada. She has been interested in canoeing and kayaking for many year. Steph started the certification process in 2020 and holds Basic Sea Kayak, Level 1 Sea Kayak, and Basic Sea Kayak Instructor. She is also a certified forest bathing and mindful nature walk guide. |
